Although I hail from the North, I've spent most of my adult life south of the Watford Gap and I'm now living on the beautiful West Wales coast with the Husband, Blue and Pink, and Fred the 3 legged spaniel.
Once I'd got over the boring bit of reaching my twenties, getting a career as a lawyer, finding the Husband and having our first child, life threw us a huge curve ball when our son was diagnosed with leukaemia. During that time very little made sense, but in an attempt to gain control over one area of my life, I began to bake. My self-imposed challenge was to bake (or make - not every recipe requires the oven) everything in How to be a Domestic Goddess. I haven't quite got there - other cookbooks get in the way, but I'll get there in the end.
My lawyering days are firmly behind me and if I'm not walking the dog, enjoying the beach or baking a cake, you'll find me writing for various publications, crafting website copy and social media content for small businesses.
